ADDITIONAL RELEVANT INFORMATION: Specialized in Japan in Consulting Services for Small Industry. Selected by the Japanese Government, on behalf of the CNPC of Chile, to study quality and productivity techniques. Organized by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and with the participation of 14 countries representing Asia and Europe, in order to train expert consultants in SMEs. The topics to be discussed were taught by 15 Japanese experts from different specialties, covering 700 academic hours, with the collaboration of the following institutions: Aichi Industrial Research Association (AIRA). Japan Small and Medium Enterprise Management Consultants Association (MITI, Aichi Branch), with the Aichi Small and Medium Enterprise Assistance Center, Aichi-ken Chusho Kigyo Center. Nagoya University, and other associated institutions.

The SEMC is a method that allows to progressively position itself from the Chilean Standard Nch 2909, to continue with the ISO 9001 Standard, in such a way as to approach the Model of excellence in a staggered way. He has intervened in Audits of. ISO 9001 and Nch 2909, as well as Rapporteur of the tiered system. The SEMC is based on the Chilean Model of Management of Excellence as one of the types of intervention of the Instrument for the Promotion of Quality of CORFO.
